Range Hot 02 May '26

Shooters,
Over the last couple months myself and Bert Meeks have starting teaching our intro seminars: Intro to Pistol, Intro to Home Defense, and Intro to Carbine. In March we did Handgun, in April we did another installment of Handgun and Intro to Home Defense, and this month we will be doing Intro to Carbine. I thoroughly enjoyed going over the home defense material since we got to do a bunch of hands on training in an actual structure, work with target discrimination, gun handling in tight hallways and doorways, and other skills that you most certainly do not get in your average flat-range class. For those of you who may be somewhat new to AR or AK type platforms, or those who just want a refresher, I highly recommend you come out to our Carbine seminar this month!

See you on the range!

Dan

You're the Militia, So Now What?

Where I see some big differences is when people actually go to the range. In my estimation (remember, this is nothing more than my perception based on what I see at work from week to week, so mileage may vary) I'd say that 90% of gun owners don't do much that I would classify as training. I'm not saying this as a moral judgment. I'm just saying that I've been seriously involved with firearms in one way or another, much of it professional, for a couple decades now, and that's my observation. A huge issue with lack of serious training to objective standards is the gap between perceived capabilities and real capabilities...

Registration will go live about 1 month before the events.
