Range Hot 31 May '26

Shooters,
A bit late, but Happy Memorial Day all! To many of us at here at the range Memorial Day is much more personal than to most Americans. Let’s remain thankful for all we’ve been blessed with as Americans, and live in a way that if those looking down on us can see us, they’ll be glad that they sacrificed themselves for us. In the words of one commentator “be worth sacrificing for.” On a lighter note we’ve got registration open on Practiscore for the July combat match. We have completed our first 3-month cycle of Intro seminars: Intro to Pistol, Intro to
Home Defense, and Intro to Carbine. They were very well received, so much so that we are considering bringing them from being half-day classes to full-day classes. Finally, look for our comprehensive 3-part handgun training series to be on the website soon. This will be a three-part series of two-day concealed carry classes that cover the subject of concealed carry handgun comprehensively: meaning that we will not only cover pistol shooting, although we will do a lot of that, but we will also include unarmed self defense, blade work, weapons integrated combatives, medical skills, weapons retention, etc. This is some of my favorite material, and I’m excited to present it!

See you on the range!

Dan

You're the Militia, So Now What? Pt. II

"For those of us who take the 2A seriously there’s often a need to graduate from “just doing something” on the range, to actively training toward a result.  I believe that in order to make the jump from recreational “training” to combative training with the intent to preserve life we need a principle based approach.  The principles that guide me, and our training approach here at the range are as follows..."

HOWEVER, shooters may also register under "Lite" division which minimizes physical requirements to something more reminiscent of a standard 2-gun/3-gun type match. Registration will go live about 1 month before the events.
